Tori stood up waiting for everyone else to file off the plane, or make some room so she could grab her stuff. This was either going to be the best idea or the worst idea of her life. But she didn't see how it could be any worse than what she was leaving behind in Michigan. As an elderly man moved forward Tori made her way to open up the upper compartment and grab her carry on. Everything that she needed; books and clothes.
She would have to grab a taxi and head for the dorm. How long was it going to be until she knew this place like the back of her hand? Not that she really even knew Brighton much. She always found ways of getting lost in that tiny town...this was gonna be worse. But she was up for the adventure. As she left the airport she blew a sigh of relief...freedom was in her future. It was time for her to start anew. A yellow taxi pulled up beside her and she opened the door putting her bag on the seat next to her. Telling the man where she needed to go, she closed her eyes. She couldn't believe she actually done it. Pretty much spending everything that she had on a one way ticket here. She was going to have to go get a new phone...but with what numbers. The only ones she remembers were ones she wanted to forget...she had already left them behind. Thousands of miles away. And they weren't going to so much as receive a phone call from her.
"We’re here." The mans response came making Tori jump. She forgot she wasn't on the plane anymore and opened her eyes. She opened the door and pulled her carry-on bag with her. She was going to make a quick entrance to her new home and go find somewhere to relax.
Going into the main office she introduced herself and got the key to the dorm room, finding out also that she didn't have a roommate or two yet. Tori didn't mind to this news. She wasn't ready to spill every little detail and explain why she left home in the first place. She slipped the key into the lock and turned the handle. It was a decent sized place containing three beds. She through her bag down on one and gave a smirk before unzipping the bag and grabbing her purse.
She was going to go out and attempt to not get lost on her first outing. If that was possible for her. She got lost walking in the woods behind her house. She walked a few blocks before spotting a bar. "ID please" was the bouncers response as she opened the door which she quickly handed over. "You look different" The man told her. "Yep no more blond." she said with a smile as she walked up to the bar. "What are you having honey?" a voice called belonging to a lady who couldn't have been much older than Tori. "Do you guys have any Wild Blue?" The bar tender gave a nod before disappearing for a few seconds returning with what Tori had asked for. "That will be 4.50" She handed over the money giving the lady a two dollar tip and going to sit at one of the tables by herself. Now what was she going to do?

Jack had been working an awful lot lately. He barely saw him and Gabe knew it wasnt his fault, but to him it was one more thing he could blame him for. He finished the last of his beer ordering another one immediately. Keep them coming he told the bartender giving her a charming grin and wink. Gabe had been to this bar on several occasions, a lot of times for business, but sometimes just because. He alcohol was decent and most of the clients he worked with could be found here. It was an Irish pub. Easy Money.
He flipped open his phone. He hadnt hear from Jack. Again he was reminded that Jack was at work and usually jack didnt like to break the rules so he doubted that the guy carried even his phone on him. He hadnt gotten his lunch break either so no chance to give it a look. Gabe still sent him a text telling him he would be out and not to be surprised if he wasnt at home when he got off of work. Drinking was bad for gabe. It made him feel like he had all this power and to be honest he kind of did especially over jack. His favorite thing to do when he was drinking was to cause pain to the boy. Of course when he was sober he apologized profusely promising not to do it ever again, but that was always a lie. He was addicted even if he wouldnt admit it.
Gabe was frustrated and because of this he would try to hurt Jack. Just depended on who with. There were plenty of girls he met at this bar, the bartender included. None of which knew he was even in a relationship with someone. He always played the singles card. Hell even when he was with jack at other places if he wanted to he would flirt in front of him, but if Jack was good then he didnt. Only when he felt that jack needed to be taught a lesson, after all he knew that Jack couldnt possibly be faithful to him. Jack was probably out gallivanting around, just saying hes at work when hes really not. Why trust him? Jack was probably an expert liar. There was no way he was going to fool gabe though.
He was too caught in his head to hear anyone come in until they sat down next to him and ordered a wild blue. He turned to look at her. She was pretty, very pretty. He gave her a friendly smile. What is a wild blue? I've never heard of it I dont think. he asked taking a drink of his beer again.

Tori turned her eyes in the direction of the table next to her. Someone with a rather attractive voice had spoken to her. “Wild blue, tastes like blue berries.” She said with a smile. The guy wasn’t bad looking, rather attractive. He looked like he was around her age, maybe a little older. But who would she kid she was horrible with guessing ages. But then again everyone always thought she looked about eighteen or nineteen.
“There’s also a wild red that tastes like raspberries and a wild black that tastes like blackberries. The blues my favorite though.” She kept her smile on her face. Though she wouldn’t mention that these beers also had an 8% alcohol level and Tori was very much a light weight. These would have to be drunk slowly. She didn’t want to be wasted in a city that was completely new to her. She was gonna have enough trouble finding her way back to the dorm room.
She looked away for a moment letting her eyes glance around the areas of the bar that she could see. There was a nice mix of people, she had a feeling she was going to meet plenty of people here. Her brown eyes shifted back to his. “I’m Tori, and new here.” Sure she was usually pretty shy but it would be nice to talk to someone all the same. Maybe gain a new friend in this town. Then it wouldn’t be as lonely. “So what are you drinking, stranger?”
Tori wasn’t too familiar with most drinks. She really only tried the ones that were recommended to her. Killian’s was her second choice on beer, though she preferred wine way more. She was going to have to investigate this town tomorrow. Classes weren’t starting for her yet, next week and she already had everything together. One thing she got done before leaving home. That only left finding a job, which was much needed.
She took a sip from her bottle before setting it back down. “So what do you do for a living?” Small talk. She was never a fan of it. Though she did like playing twenty questions with people, it was a fast way of learning a lot about someone. Though that game usually got dirty pretty fast, whether it was Tori’s fault or the people she was playing with, it never really mattered to her. But she was going to have to get used to doing small talk. That was how people were gonna get to know her.
